Sorina was saved from the streets when lockdown started in Romania, in the Spring. With adoptions having to be put on hold until early August, she had some initial requests but nothing serious…
Thankfully a couple from Germany were serious in wanting to give her a home. When travel preparation started, disaster struck. Sorina started to get sick and a vet check confirmed what we had feared – kidney problems. Sorina was seriously dehydrated due to her kidney not functioning properly. She was losing weight rapidly and clearly needed further exams.
These revealed that due to advanced age, Sorina has some formations on the spine called discospondylitis. After having IV treatment for several days and taking some medicine for 20 days, Sorina is feeling much better.
Very unfortunately though, her German adopters pulled out of her adoption. Sorina needs a happy, safe place to enjoy her senior years. Someone who understands her medical needs, all she requires is a pill each day to keep her comfortable, and her only other requirements are love, warmth and a home.
