We currently facilitate adoptions only in Sweden (Lisa at kontakt@rolda.se, phone: 0046705703566) and the UK (Madeleine at manager@rolda.org.uk, phone: 01615317797). We hope to expand our adoption program to Denmark and other countries as soon as we find volunteers to assist with home checks and organize the process.

The online application form will appear once you’ve checked all the requirements.

  • Are you over 23?
  • Are you willing to accept a home check?
  • Do you have time to dedicate to a new pet (daily exercise, vet visits, basic training)?
  • Are you ready to change your daily routine to welcome a new dog in your life?
  • Can you afford a new dog (food, vet costs, insurance, unexpected vet bills, etc)?
  • Are you ready to offer calm guidance, practice patience and use effective science based, kind training methods?
  • Are all your family members ready to welcome a new dog?
  • Are you prepared for any teething problems, such as anxiety in your dog after a long, stressful journey and completely new circumstances?
  • If you have other pets, are you prepared to train your dog to integrate with other animals in your family?
  • Can you provide a reference from your vet?
  • If all your answers are “Yes”.
