My story
Teddy is currently in foster care in the UK based in the South West, but he urgently needs a more suitable foster placement or a forever family where he can continue to settle and thrive. Teddy has a docked tail and managed to enter the UK before the new Animal Welfare Bill came into play, after his tail was saved from a car accident in Romania.
He has settled well, continuing to make progress with house training and is very affectionate with a sweet soul. He absolutely loves his soft toys and hasn’t destroyed any since being in the home. He is keen to play with other dogs and will need to learn to regulate this as he is only 8 months old so is still learning. He is very food motivated and smart so is picking up lots of basic skills, like engagement and lead training very well. He needs to build his confidence on walks but in time, with patience and a routine, we think he’ll love family adventures. He will need a family who are mostly present to help him build up to being alone, as he can be very attached – he just wants to be involved! A semi rural environment and a family who are confident and keen to train this super boy will mean he thrives and shines in the best way possible. He would not be suited to a home with cats but could potentially live with another, calm and confident resident dog.
